Lasik day one... ITS AMAZING!

My computer screen has never looked this clear!

Today is day one after my Lasik procedure... and I am seeing 20/20 in my right eye and 20/25 in my left... and things are only going to get better!

I went in yesterday for my 1:45 appointment and was home and resting my eyes by 3:30pm. I was a bit nervous... but the staff at Insight Lasik rest assured it was normal to be nervous and that everything would be fine. Sure enough... they were right. The procedure was so fast and painless... even with my super high prescription... I was only under the laser for less than 30 seconds an eye!

As suggested by Dr Jackson I chose the Custom IntraLase procedure. This allowed for the best possible end result.... and I have to say I couldn't be happier!

here is the funny part... they call this a lasik hickie! I guess it happens from the laser device being suctioned to your eye.

Geez I have been busy this week!
I started back teaching this week after a bit of holiday break.... which is never long enough : )

I am teaching 4 classes this semester....

2 sections of Intro to Studio Art 1010 at CU in Boulder
Introduction to Sculpture at Regis University
Advanced Sculpture at Regis University

So my Tuesdays and Thursday are full of almost a 12 hour day... 9:25am to 7:20pm So much for riding those days... I guess I will have to make them gym days.

Well tomorrow is the big day.... I finally get to say bye to my glasses. I was thinking of having a burial ceremony for them... we have been together for 22 years... and well I guess I could throw my contacts in there too... I have been wearing them for 16 years.

This will be life changing.... and I am ecstatic for this one!

Glasses.... Day 1

So here is me in glasses.... most of you have never seen such a sight before. But thanks to our wonderful Sponsor InSight Lasik... I am now able to afford Lasik surgery. I went in yesterday to check on the stability of my eyes.... and I got the green light.... my surgery is scheduled for January 18th. I am so EXCITED! However... I have to wear my glasses for two weeks up until my surgery.... and I am not very excited about that.

I ventured out today on my bike in the warm weather... in my glasses.... and everything seemed a little surreal. I have never ridden my bike in my glasses and honestly without sunglasses. It was quite weird. But I managed... and all in all I will be satisfied with the end product! Thanks InSight Lasik!
